AFA MANAGEMENT

Patrick D. Lynch

Chief Executive Officer

Patrick ("Pat") Lynch has built a successful track record in general business management and product

development principally in financial services.

After proving that he was adept at running a family-held business, which he joined immediately after

completing his studies at the University of Southern California in 1978, Pat became an executive within a

merchant banking team at Interallianz-Hallwood based in Zurich, Switzerland. The Firm specialized in financial restructuring's.

Upon returning to the US, Pat joined Bridge Information Systems, a financial information provider, and served on Bridge's Board and Executive Management Committee. At Bridge Pat launched an international service which provided non-US financial information to money managers and traders throughout the world.

After seven high-growth and successful years at Bridge Pat joined James Capel (the investment banking and trading arm of HSBC) as a CEO of James Capel subsidiary, and as a  member of their International Board.

Pat then returned to the US and had a very successful career on Wall Street. He was an executive at Salomon Brothers and Morgan Stanley. Pat then joined ING Baring Furman Selz as a Senior Managing Director.

Pat then joined Sector, Inc., a telecommunications and information processing/outsourcing firm, as their President and CEO. In addition to these duties Pat joined the Executive Management Committee that ran SIAC (Sector's 'Parent', which is owned by the New York and American Stock Exchanges.)

Pat joined AFA in October of 2006 as Chief Executive Officer after having been the President and CEO of SunGard's BRASS business unit, BRASS maintains an extensive product suite built around its core business of providing trade order management systems to a large segment of the U.S. broker/dealer community.

 



 

Nilesh Nanavati
President

Prior to joining AFA, Nilesh also served as an interim CFO of a market-neutral hedge fund.  Prior to his role as CFO, Nilesh worked as an independent consultant advising early stage companies on financial and operational management issues.  Prior to that, Nilesh also worked as a senior manager with Ernst & Young’s financial services practice in New York and London, where he helped global broker/dealers, asset management, and insurance companies improve their profitability by restructuring  their operating processes. He holds an MBA from Manchester Business School in UK and has satisfied all requirements of a Chartered Financial Analyst.

William C. Holub
Chief Financial Officer

William Holub recently joined AFA in March 2006 as the company’s Chief Financial Officer.  Prior to joining AFA, Mr. Holub was the Chief Financial Officer of Collins Stewart Tullett Holdings, Inc.  Collins Stewart is known for its Tullett Liberty inter-dealer broker business.  Tullett Liberty primary focus was on Fixed Income and Derivatives, but recently moved aggressively into the Equity and Energy businesses.  William was employed by Collins Stewart from October 1995 to April 2005.  Previously to joining Collins Stewart,  he worked eight years for Ernst & Young LLP, lastly as Audit Senior Manager in its financial services practice. William is a Certified Public Accountant and received his B.B.A degree in Public Accounting from Pace University.

John E. Vande Woude
Chief Technology Officer

John Vande Woude has over 23 years of experience building, developing and managing technology organizations for Fortune 500 companies and independent start-ups, primarily within the financial services sector.  Prior to joining AFA, John served as an advisor and Interim Chief Information Officer for Sequas Corporation, which is a start-up involved in the development of a unique web-based service offering for trading partners in the global supply chain.  Prior to that, John was the Head of Technology and a Director of Application Development for MarketAxess, the industry’s leading electronic trading platform for credit products.  While serving as the Head of Technology for MarketAxess,  John developed and executed on a global technology strategy which included the implementation a new strategic electronic trading platform.  John joined MarketAxess in connection with their acquisition of Trading Edge, where he was a Chief Information Officer and a Director of Application Development.  John’s prior experience includes a senior position at NorthStar Technologies where he was a Partner/Senior Consultant and senior technology roles at Bankers Trust, First Boston and Merrill Lynch.
