BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Patrick D. Lynch
Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, AFA

Patrick ("Pat") Lynch has built a successful track record in general business management and product development principally in financial services. After proving that he was adept at running a family-held business, which he joined immediately after completing his studies at the University of Southern California in 1978, Pat became an executive within a merchant banking team at Interallianz-Hallwood based in Zurich, Switzerland. The Firm specialized in financial restructurings.


Upon returning to the US, Pat joined Bridge Information Systems, a financial information provider, and served on Bridge's Board and Executive Management Committee. At Bridge Pat launched an international service which provided non-US financial information to money managers and traders throughout the world.

After seven high-growth and successful years at Bridge Pat joined James Capel (the investment banking and trading arm of HSBC) as a CEO of James Capel subsidiary, and as a member of their International Board. Pat then returned to the US and had a very successful career on Wall Street. He was an executive at Salomon Brothers and Morgan Stanley. Pat then joined ING Baring Furman Selz as a Senior Managing Director.

Pat then joined Sector, Inc., a telecommunications and information processing/outsourcing firm, as their President and CEO. In addition to these duties Pat joined the Executive Management Committee that ran SIAC (Sector's 'Parent', which is owned by the New York and American Stock Exchanges.)

Pat joined AFA in October of 2006 as Chief Executive Officer after having been the President and CEO of SunGard's BRASS business unit, BRASS maintains an extensive product suite built around its core business of providing trade order management systems to a large segment of the U.S. broker/dealer community.

Craig Messinger
Managing Director, Pershing LLC

Craig brings over 25 years of global financial services industry expertise from top tier organizations such as Fidelity Investments, Lehman Brothers and Salomon Brothers. Craig is currently a managing director and a member of the Executive Committee of Pershing LLC, a member of BNY Securities Group. Prior to Pershing, he has held senior executive roles as President of Fidelity Capital Markets and President of Lehman Brothers Canada and began his career as an analyst and fixed income trader. He has served on the boards of Redi ECN, Arca-X, CBOE, Boston Stock Exchange and the Bond Market Association where he also served as Treasurer.

John Sadowsky
Chairman, Mosaic Capital Advisors

John's career has focused on 2 deep interests: business/entrepreneurship and teaching/coaching. This combination has resulted in over 20 years of experience in business leadership, teaching and coaching in diverse countries and contexts. He is currently a Professor of Leadership at EGS Grenoble – Graduate School of Business. He is also a consultant in leadership and organization building to companies in the US , UK , France , Belgium and Hong Kong . John has an MBA from Stanford Business School and managed a mid-size independent beer and beverage distribution company in Mass. , USA prior to entering academia in 1991. He is Chairman of Atlas Distributors, a Board Member of Advanced Financial Applications, Board Member of E-mail Vision and an active participant of humanitarian efforts in Bolivia .

Ameet Shah
Managing Partner – Mosaic Capital Advisors LLC
Co-Chairman - Astonfield Renewable Resources Limited


Mr. Shah is the Managing Partner of Mosaic Capital Advisors and the Mosaic Private Equity family of funds. Prior to starting Mosaic Capital, a principal investment firm about 10 years ago, Mr. Shah worked with HSBC Asset Management Limited in various roles in Hong Kong, London and New York. He subsequently moved to Salomon Brothers Asset Management in Hong Kong and was co-manager of the Salomon Brothers Asia Growth Fund in 1997-1998. Ameet is an Economics graduate of Fitzwilliam College, University of Cambridge.

In his role at Mosaic he has successfully invested in a number of early stage companies and has a track record of forging strong partnerships with management teams to achieve a common success. He serves on the Board of three emerging US companies – Advanced Financial Applications, Real Time Radiography and CapIntro, Inc; and he also serves as a Conflict Review Board Member for the Sigma Opportunity Fund in New York.

In 2006, Mr. Shah founded the Astonfield Group of Companies. Astonfield Renewable Resources Limited was set up to develop clean energy projects in India. It currently builds, operates and owns a portfolio of solar, biomass and biogas projects in India. Ameet drives the financial strategy of Astonfield. An expert in building companies and constructing large financial transactions, he works with our technical and government partners to ensure profitability of each individual project and leads the project approval committee for the Board.
